Yeah, But That's Before Taxes

The rich keep gettin' richer, especially Ontario's Hydro One boss Tom Parkinson. TP, as those of us looking for a loan like to call him, is going to receive a $3-million severance payment for - um, quitting his job. Not bad for a guy who last year made a paltry $1.5-million.

Ontario Tory leader John Tory pointed out the obvious; people who quit don't get severance pay.

TP was shown the door, along with the bag of cash, after an auditor general's report claiming the company's rules weren't followed in purchasing millions of dollars of goods and services.

Okay, I get it now. He screwed up and he quit. That's why he gets the $3-mill.

the last executive of Hydro One only made 400k a year and she was fired for extravagant spending.

Maybe they should have kept with the original horse in this case.
