Hillary's Vulnerability

there are no do-overs on an issue as important as war

That's how Barrak Obama is planning to take down Hillary Clinton in their run for the Democratic presidential nomination for 2008.

With mounting public disapproval of the Iraq war, Clinton is vulnerable for her initial support for it that continued long after she should have bailed out.

"It will be enormously difficult to invest in jobs and opportunity until we stop spending $275 million a day on this war in Iraq,'' Obama said in prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press. ``I believed then and still do that being a leader means that you'd better do what's right and leave the politics aside, because there are no do-overs on an issue as important as war."

Hillary's defence seems to be that, if she knew back in 2002 what she knows now, she wouldn't have supported the war. I tend to believe her. If she knew back in 2002 that her decision might sink her presidential bid, sure she would have opposed the war.
