Minister of Family Values Attacks Louise Arbour

Harpo scumbag philanderer, the oh-so-self-righteous Vic Toews, has lambasted UN Human Rights Commissioner Louise Arbour, calling her "a disgrace."

The numbnutted bastard who recently fathered a bouncing out-of-wedlock bastard baby with a much younger woman to the chagrin of his faithful wife of 30-years ought to know what a disgrace really is as he's reminded of it so fulsomely every morning when he gazes into the mirror to trim his old man/new dad moustache.

It seems this pathetically unaccomplished jerk, who has single-handedly elevated hypocrisy to near religious dimensions, objects to Ms. Arbour's legitimate criticisms of Israel.

He's not the only one whose not a fan of Ms Arbour, I could give you a few choice words about what I think of her and her bizarre views, and, after reading Kinsella today I'm glad I'm not in neo-con territory, there's more then a few Liberals and Cons who find her "out there". I wouldnt use the word disgusting...weird, but not disgusting. Hey...when was it wrong to speak what you think?

I prefer Liberal MP Irwin Cotler's description of Louise Arbour and her Anti-semitic rants.

The highly resepcted Human Rights Lawyer and Former Justice Minister called Arbour's remarks about Israel "Superficial, simplistic, uninformed and misleading"

I think Arbour is a disgrace!

The UNHRC is a joke and Arbour was responsible for it.

He's absolutely right, she is a disgrace. If you want to attack his private life, then I guess you feel the same way of Bill Graham (married many years, has affair with underage boy) and Belinda (home wrecker). Do you really want to go there?

Gee Bill, I don't think it is wrong to say what you think. It seems this fuckwit, however, doesn't like Ms. Arbour saying what she thinks and so I'm just sayihng what I think about that smug, self-righteous bastard breeder.

There are many Jewish leaders and Israelis who do not appreciate many of the policies of Israel towards Palestinians. Does it make them bad too? Israel has all the military might and latest weaponry and that is why they are intransigent. The whole situation in the Middle East is sad. Problem of Israel and Palestine needs to be resolved peacefully to the satisfaction of both parties. I do not know what the exact criticism of Arbour is but Jimmy Carter and some other western leaders have criticized too. Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were on the right track to resolve the conflict and along came Bush the moron and set the situation back for many decades.

Well at least he didnt call her a self-righteous smug fuckwit..he kept it civil. What Irwin Cotler said pretty much sums it up for me.

Yes ledara we know..."if only we'd been in power longer we would have done a better job". You can paint it, spin it, twirl it any way you want, but, until Hamas/Iran/Syria/Hezbollah and the UN all recognize Israel's right to exist this will never end, never ever ever. You dont have to take sides...just get all 4 to agree that Israel is a country that has the right to defend itself, and that will probably never happen. And so it goes on and on. billg

Bill I do not consider myself expert on the Middle East. However, Bill Clinton’s proposal did include recognition of Israel and its existence. The contentious matter was division of territory and going back to pre-67 war boundaries. Prime Minister Isaac Rabin was moving in that direction and some fanatic Israelis assassinated him. That was a very sad saga in the history of Israel. Rabin was a military man and he knew the destructiveness of wars and understood the importance of peace but fanatic Israelis did not agree with him and killed him.

Unless we aren't talking about the same thing here, all Arbour said is that Israel could be accused of war crimes if they did not take adequate measures to make sure that civilians were adequately protected.

Are any of you anonymous cowards disputing this?

Israel absolutely has the right to exist and to defend itself, but they are clearly not afraid to throw human rights to the wind when it suits them. Maybe that's why the riht wing is so quick to run to their defence.

Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_Arbour It's all there and "then" reach a conclusion. I have a question...what is it many commentators on this blog don't know about the use of "then" and "than"? "there's more then a few Liberals" written by anonymous from the top of this page. It should be "there's more than a few Liberals". Ojective criticism can be made about any article written by anyone. A. Morris

Only a nitwit would call Louise Arbour an anti-semite, or her views "bizarre". She was quite correct in her warning to Israel during the Lebanon war. (And speaking of a disgrace, let's remember our Prime Minister calling Israel's actions a "measured response".)

Now children, please! Can't we just keep this about poor Vic's geezer moustache and his problems keeping his pants done up?

Whooee! I'm with Anon (4:52) on the "then/than" misuse. Dangitall, I'm a stickler fer good grammar. Funny thing... justt his morning, I was tellin' Ma about the then/than thing and how so many bloggers confuse the two.

I seen Toews birthdate yesterday. He's about 3 years younger than ol' JB but he looks 10 years older. He musta lived hard. Fellers that live hard end up lookin' all wore out before they're even 60. Keepin' multiple spouses satisfied maybe wore him down.
