Ah, Jeebus.

CNN is reporting that the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Politico and, of course, CNN have been denied access to the White House briefing room. From The Hill:

Among the outlets not permitted to cover the gaggle were news organizations that President Trump has singled out for criticism, including CNN.

The New York Times, The Hill, Politico, BuzzFeed, the Daily Mail, BBC, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Daily News were among the other news organizations not permitted to attend.

Several right-leaning outlets were allowed into Spicer’s office, including Breitbart, the Washington Times and One America News Network.

This could be a good development. Now that much of the MSM has lost the holy grail of "access," maybe they can get their "Senior White House Correspondents" to put away the steno pads and start filing FOIA requests and talking to people to find out what's actually going on in government. You know, what we used to call journalism.

NBC, ABC and Fox showed a lack of class , but the good news is that AP declined to be manipulated. The free press may rise again.

Reading about the press ban in different places I wonder how this can help Trump. Spicer belittles himself daily to try and present Trump in the best light possible. The White House wants this pro Trump flackery desperately, but is , by banning certain reporters, actually minimizing its own message.

Well done boys.

Glad to see the fake news media bite the dust. These liars in public places are absolutely disgusting! They are the reason the world is in such a mess and the American people had to elect Donald Trump to clean it up.

Trump isn't waging a war on the press. The establishment's propaganda arm is waging a war on him and democracy. They want to protect their wars and globalist looting. They are trying to overthrow the democratically-elected government of the United States!

The days of establishment corruption are coming to an end. Junior will be the next oligarch lapdog to go down in flames!

Great job. Your mockery almost had me going until that last bit about Trump and the like bringing establishment corruption to an end. Keep up the good work.

Good to see satire is alive and well.

Liberals love their fake news media, bribe-taking politicians and establishment looting. They're brokenhearted over Trump killing the TPP and Cold War revival with Russia.

The only reason they're anti-Trump is because they're brainless establishment dupes. They hated Reagan and Mulroney, but loved Clinton and Chretien who expanded on the neoliberal era. They hated Bush and Harper, but loved Obomba and Junior who expanded on the neocon era.

They hate Trump, but will love whatever corporate Democrat runs on restoring free-trade globalization and is suddenly OK with a ban on Muslims and a proper border with Mexico. Just watch!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Again, Anon, you're in an alternate universe, full of facile sophistry. I simply reject your delusional, sophomoric outlook which, sadly, means we have no commonality on which to discuss or debate.

What I'm saying, in Trump-speak, is that you're a nutter with a flimsily constructed political view that's riddled with holes and flaws.

And so I am not going to engage your childishness but, don't fret, there are plenty of places with loads of little minds like yours. Off you go then.

99% of the time, when you see posters using Anon., anon., Anonamous as their online comment profile,

Given how easy it is to create a personalized, but "anonamous" comment identity, and thus "engage" in comments,

You can pretty much chalk them up to being 4chan trolls.

Funny thing is, when Mnuchin, the Forclosure King finishes reorganizing the Trump Economy,

I wonder who's basement they will live in, because it won't be their Momma's.

Liberalism is a shallow vacuous cult. That isn't a troll. That's the truth. Liberals keep becoming what they claim they once hated. The only constant is their hatred of their political opponents, which just makes them ignorant fanatics.

For some strange reason liberals want their leader to have power. They don't care what on Earth he or she does with it: mass murder Muslim civilians; invade countries around the globe by proxy or by aerial bombing and ground wars; wage a war on inner-cities for kickbacks from the private prison industry; sell the people out on healthcare reform to leverage money from the health insurance industry in speaking fees; and lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. What a mess.

As bad as Trump is (and he isn't as bad as your establishment conditioning shrills you) he is actually doing something. He's killed the TPP and is turning the tide on free-trade globalization. He stopped the insane Cold War revival with Russia the 'deep state' generals and spooks were pushing. Less than a month in office and he's already done more for the people than Clinton or Obama ever did.

Anon, I completely disagree. Liberalism is not a cult. I expect you're less than familiar with either "liberalism" or "cult" and that's something you've read on your favourite blogs. As for fanatacism, do you understand that concept, what it looks like? On the spectrum, liberals are too wobbly to be fanatics. You're just completely off-base.

Every political group wants its leader to have power and that's not "for some strange reason." If that appears strange to you, I would suggest you give these comments a break and go to your library. Read and learn.

Don't you find it passing curious that most of the ills you cite were initiated not by Democrats but by Republicans, Trump's party? Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, the invasion of Afghanistan, Shock & Awe, the private prison industry, destruction of private health care, tax cuts for the rich, even globalization - just where do you imagine these came from? How about the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson and the Coors family? How about ALEC (Google it). Do you really think these are Democratic initiatives? I'd love to give you a pop quiz, multiple choice, because you've got your head full to exploding with nonsense.

It's one of those situations where you're entitled to your opinion but not your own facts and you're not basing your arguments on facts which is why I'd like you to just go away and not return. You're floating in an alternate, fact-free universe that's not needed here. So, please, just go away. We'll both be happier, no?

Sorry Jay but many of the Anons are not 4chan trolls - It just goes to show your bias if anything.

Anyong: Why are governments so afraid of factual journalism? Germany has had the world's top Journalist under surveillance for years including the BBC. Canada has even had a go in Montreal now we have the US's Trump. I think I must be under a misapprehension that investigative journalism is vital for good democracy. The "Enemy of the American People are Journalists" according to Trump. Perhaps Trump will retire for the night and arise in the morning and voice a pronouncement he is wrong. Hmmm! This is nothing but so much B-Juice cover up.

Say's the 4Chan troll.

LMFAO.

Jay, Anon says "many of the Anons are not 4chan trolls." It's the sort of thing that takes me back to my litigation days. How does he purport to know what "many of the Anons" are or are not? His words suggest he's speaking for a group. The only group mentioned here is the 4Chan bunch which, until today, I'd never heard of and yet this Anon seems more than familiar with them. He plainly has no grasp of illogic. I hope, for his sake, that he manages to stay clear of any courtroom where he'd be hoist on his own petard.

He probably thinks you're calling him a name.

There is only one reason to cling to anonymity on a blog such as this and that's in order to be able to maximize your assholery as much you want to. I get it that anonymity is important in some areas and for some people but this isn't one of those areas and nulltwats like the one here is most certainly not one of those persons.

Not to mention the lunatic irony of an anonymous Trump supporter spewing on about unnamed sources in the media.

Its an untreatable pathology.

Hell, Dana, you could be right. Wish you weren't.
