Isn't it time you came out of that closet?

And, as for Iggy's international experience, are you referring to working abroad? At least Trudeau was internationally respected and left his mark. What's your schoolboy left, a smudge? The Mound of Soundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09023839743772372922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-62338016795905326932010-07-26T15:21:10.120-07:002010-07-26T15:21:10.120-07:00Ignatieff has more international experience than T...Ignatieff has more international experience than Trudeau did before becoming Prime Minister! And defeating the evil empire of communism was a very worthwhile goal. That's what we were doing in Afghanistan before. We've recently been there as part of the war against terrorism. Those are two different topics but you unsuccessfully tried to link them.Liberal Justicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05346811184984444449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-56771117236621223532010-07-26T15:13:03.018-07:002010-07-26T15:13:03.018-07:00LJ, do you even read history? Even someone as simple as you can do a bit of research about Afghan society in the 80's. To justify how we undid all that progress as part of "a worthy objective" is simply crass.

As the first commenter noted, a real Liberal, Trudeau, "had both enough experience and enough wisdom to understand a country like Afghanistan." A worthy objective that was achieved, though certainly with some sacrifice. The Taliban, however, we overthrown in Afghanistan at a time when we were, and are, at war with global terrorists.Liberal Justicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05346811184984444449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-66518288473312020972010-07-26T09:54:43.471-07:002010-07-26T09:54:43.471-07:00Trudeau had both enough experience and enough wisd...Trudeau had both enough experience and enough wisdom to understand a country like Afghanistan. You make some very valid points in your post. The sad truth, however, is that Ignatieff is a neo-con so the Liberal Party will not have a reasonable position on foreign policy matters such as these.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
