Not just troops but three or more carrier battle groups, entire bomber and fighter wings, you name it.

When a general puts his reputation on the line and says just what he will actually achieve with those extra troops and equipment, then and only then should that request be entertained.

These brass hat jackasses have been screwing around for eight years, promising nothing and delivering just that.

They hang around, collect a few medals and a chapter for their memoirs, get their ticket punched and retire away from all responsibility.

You can't argue with success, the hard part is getting a general who will deliver any.The Mound of Soundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09023839743772372922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-76502712593979637072009-10-30T15:03:14.790-07:002009-10-30T15:03:14.790-07:00General McChrystal needs more troops. He said he wants to ensure that the war is going to be conducted in a way that it can justify the sacrifice of the lives of American soldiers.

At the very least I think the White House is going to demand some very clear metrics from McChrystal, some specific commitments tied to a clear timeline. Something that makes real sense unlike the tripe we've been fed by every Western general who's set foot in Afghanistan since 2001.The Mound of Soundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09023839743772372922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-5743874761898265822009-09-21T22:57:28.779-07:002009-09-21T22:57:28.779-07:00President obama know what to do..President obama know what to do..hirehttp://www.whatlimouk.com/index.htmnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-11817501060699247262009-09-21T19:41:05.822-07:002009-09-21T19:41:05.822-07:00I don’t know, can he say no to General McChrystal?...I don’t know, can he say no to General McChrystal? If he needs to say no, I hope he does, but if he says yes, I hope he does what he needs to for the continued protection of our country and the USA.lucy lanehttp://www.vacationrentalsad.comnoreply@blogger.com
