(In Canada, the Liberals became the Brian Mulroney party. Apparently Mulroney represents the fake liberal's idea of the Third Way.)

(The Third Way is absurd because it casts economic centrism as an extreme, when the system is itself a compromise between far-left-wing socialism and far-right-wing free-market capitalism.)

The UK equivalent to the NDP WAS the Lib-Dem party. But Nick Clegg single-handedly destroyed the Lib-Dem party getting in bed with Cameron and pimping his "expansionary austerity" nonsense.

Layton and Mulcair have widened the NDP to include both social democrats and real centrist liberals. Both groups support the Keynesian mixed-market system over the neoclassical/neoliberal reforms that destroyed the Western economy.

So social democrats and liberals have much in common. Just like neoliberals and neocons are different sides of the same coin. During the post-war era, both the NDP and Liberal parties were Keynesian. Now only the NDP is Keynesian.Ron Wallerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08120060083437508997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32931256.post-64403165642562775522015-08-08T12:44:16.441-07:002015-08-08T12:44:16.441-07:00I would say - beware of non-proportional system.
