There'll be a lot of Scots in a grumpy mood this morning. Last night's big Hogmanay bashes in Edinburgh and Glasgow were cancelled due to high winds and torrential rain that swept across Scotland.
More than 100,000 had been expected to turn out for the Edinburgh festival and better than 25,000 for Glasgow's. Organizers had to scrap scheduled outdoor concerts and Hogmanay fireworks displays.
