Today's Globe and Mail reports that Stephen Harper is gaining popularity among Canadians, leaving him far ahead of the other leaders, notably Stephane Dion.
Stevie has shown, time and again, that he's willing to abandon most of his principles, to "do what it takes" to win a majority government.
We've seen what Harpo looks like as an opposition leader. We've seen what he's been willing to become as a prime minister in a minority government. What we haven't seen is what sort of Stephen Harper we would be treated to if he won a majority.
Reading Harper's words from the past it's impossible not to see an extremist, right-wing philosophy. He's kept that in the closet for the last couple of years and has done everything he can to make himself look positively liberal.
Has Stephen Harper changed, has he really discarded his extremism? What do you think?

No he has not - one example: appointment of judges issue.
I would bet my cat that if he had a majority and got what he wanted on the bench he'd try to turn over the SSM issue, etc.
He detests anything that resembles welfare - i.e. child care plan (actually an pretty measly allowance).
Become a "war country" - his change on how the Afghanistan mission is being handled.
So the Liberals can sell Judgeships(?) for an average of just over $500 - OVER 60% of Federally appointed Judges donate to Liberal party but if Harper does not choase a Liberal lawyer he is a neo-con - If I send you $500 will the next Liebral to become PM make me a judge? Sorry, it won't be your French citizen!
No, Jeff, I'm sorry to have to break this to you but you could send $500-million and nobody would make you a judge. Your suggestion that Liberals sell judicial appointments is silly Jeff, really silly. Isn't it time for your nap?
