Apparently Das Kapital has a new gaggle of admirers - in Britain anyway. According to The Independent, Karl Marx is all the rage in the business sections of British papers, even The Times.
[Marx] might also dispute the idea attributed to him, that slumps make the collapse of capitalism inevitable. Because while he said SLUMPS were inevitable, he also said the outcome wasn't inevitable at all, but depended on whether the poor allow the rich to make them pay for it.

Which is what we are seeing right now. As folks loss their jobs, and the safety net underneath has been shredded, the number of poor will increase dramatically, as they try to hang onto a thread to their families, homes, and positions.
ReplyDeleteSupporters of corporate and business interests see this as an opportunity to bash workers, and ratchet down pay for jobs, as the law of supply and demand take over.
Increasing he pool of potential workers insures that wages are suppressed and depressed.
And the white and blue collar working classes are being saddled with the debt fallout, pretty much along the lines Marx discussed.
ReplyDeletethe poors will become poorer... and rich will become richer.. itz the law of the nature for me... once the poor class will get extinct forever... then some belonging to the rich class will become a part of the poor class.. juzz to fill the vacancy...and the cycle will continue....
