A Florida police chief has sized up Trayvon Martin-killer, George Zimmerman, as more than a little dangerous.
Emails sent by a Florida Police chief appear to show him agreeing
that George Zimmerman, the man who shot teenager Trayvon Martin is "a
Sandy Hook waiting to happen".
The comments came after Zimmerman hit controversy again when
his estranged wife Shellie contacted police alleging he was threatening
her and her father with a gun at her father's house in Lake Mary.
Lake
Mary resident Santiago Rodriguez wrote to the Lake Mary police
department to complain over their initial decision not to arrest or
charge Zimmerman, during which police chief Steve Bracknell, responding
to the email, appears to agree with her statement that Zimmerman is a
"Sandy Hook waiting to happen".
“Zimmerman is a Sandy
Hook, Aurora waiting to happen,” the resident, Santiago Rodriguez,
writes to Bracknell in his first email", to which Bracknell replies:
“Your reference to Sandy Hook … I agree,” according to the Guardian.
At
the end of another email which encouraged Bracknell not to “give up” on
the investigation, Rodriguez adds: “Sooner or later another mother and
father is going to be on CNN lashing out against the system due to this
man snapping.”
Bracknell replied: “As for your final thoughts, again, on a personal note, I agree."
Mound, I am totally perplexed. If police feels that way about him then why they did not detain him on the day he killed Trayvon Martin. I understand Zimmerman's father ( a retired judge) is a friend of police chief. That is why they let him go. Moreover, police did not inform Trayon Martin's death to his parents for 24 hours as he lay dead in a hospital.
ReplyDeleteIf he is another Sandy Hook-in-waiting to happen then why not keep him on probation and watch him all the time? Will they arrest him when he kills 20+ people? Police chief's statement makes no sense to me.
He has been arrested twice for speeding (and drunk). He allegedly threatened his wife and father-in- law with a gun. Despite all that he runs free. I just don't understand.
The original police investigation was slap-dash. And, therefore, the evidence needed to convict wasn't available.
ReplyDeleteJustice isn't always served.
Owen, I understand "slap-dash" was on purpose because of the police chief's connection with his father.
ReplyDeleteNow if they think he is Sandy-hook in waiting then why the f*&k they're not doing something.
He killed & was rewarded.
ReplyDeleteAl, you're so right.
ReplyDeleteI'm also perplexed at this, LD. Even though Zimmerman's wife chose not to press charges, I thought these spousal cases led to automatic charges. Apparently not in this small town.
ReplyDeleteZimmerman does seem pretty unhinged. If the feds went after him on a civil rights angle and they got this latest evidence before a jury I can't see there would be much problem getting a conviction.
He's a pretty monstrous punk.
