How Britain's Met Office Got Its Global Warming Numbers Wrong

The climate change denialist industry has had a field day with a report from Britain's Meteorological Office that concluded the rate of increase of global warming had recently slowed.

A new study shows the Met Office report was way off because it failed to include both polar regions and much of Africa.   Once they were factored in, the results showed that warming since 1997 has been about two and a half times the estimate.

This video from the University of York explains how the Met Office errors were corrected.

By the way, the World Meteorological Organization, says 2013 is on target to be the seventh hottest year in recorded history.
