Once They Start, It Will Be a Race to the Pacific |
I know a fellow who works in the Alberta oil patch. Not in the bitumen racket but in oil shale fracking in a job that takes him far and wide across northern Alberta from well site to well site.
He just came back with news that Enbridge is already stockpiling pipe along the Northern Gateway route. If that's true, it means the fix is in. The farcical, regulatory process was just a sham.
Now to track down proof that this is in fact going on.
im not surprised! Its always been a given, no matter how much people protest, they dont listen!
ReplyDeleteThe govt justify their actions with their paid puppets and they have the audacity now to do this, knowing it could mean the death of the coastal waters, but meh, the economy is always more important. I dont know how these folks sleep at night.
Hi Deb. I've contacted Pembina to see if they have anything on this and I e-mailed Andrew Weaver on it. I can't imagine Enbridge would be pre-positioning pipe without some nod from Christie Clark.
ReplyDeleteOnce Harper has crossed the line into despotism, all bets are off.
ReplyDeleteHarper is one evil Nazi. I am all for, leaving Herr Harper his henchmen, Communist China, Evil Enbridge and the Ditz Christy Clark, with scorched earth. It's a good thing Harper signed a deal with, the Red Communist China Army. That is the only way those evil s.o.b's, will ever get that filthy Bitumen into BC.
ReplyDelete^deb Scott, that pipeline is nothing to do with helping our BC economy.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, I'd say it has nothing to do with helping any economy. "The economy" these days is generally a code word for "Very rich people's bank accounts in tax havens". Keep the code in mind and deb Scott is quite right, "the economy" is always more important these days.
ReplyDeleteThe actual economy, you know, the prospects for general prosperity, would be better off overall if we spent that same money on quite different things.
thats great mound, and I hope its not true, but it just might be. Though you think they would hide it better:P
ReplyDeleteand Hugh, I know it has nothing to do with helping BC's economy, but they still try their darndest to make it about that. As they are selling some claptrap about the possibility of BC getting a piece of the profit. I dont believe them, but still they cite this below.

Yeah, Deb, it's all propaganda on a scale that we used to associate with other countries, nasty places.
ReplyDeleteThe Wet'suwet'en are reporting on their Unist'ot'en Camp Facebook page that they have "recently learned that the construction phase of the proposed Pacific Trails Pipeline [LNG] has started from the East and also from the West. They intend to have the pipeline finished to the Eastern and Western borders of our unceded lands with us as the last obstacle." So possibly the pipe is for that project which follows a similar route.
ReplyDeleteHarper will likely say "Screw 'em all!", expropriate the entire corridor, and claim they need it to train JTF2...
