Pope Francis, the "Che Guevara" of the Palestinians?

The Israeli government will be keeping a sharp eye on Pope Francis to ensure he stays in line during his upcoming visit.

An Argentinian rabbi and member of that country's parliament has warned that Francis intends to proclaim himself the Che Guevara of the Palestinian people.

According to [Israeli deputy foreign minister, Ze'ev] Elkin, official visitors to Israel are expected to balance their diplomatic rhetoric: "Our role is to ensure that there won't be an unusual gesture, and we have the tools to do so." The deputy foreign minister also pointed to the Vatican's vested interests in Israel, regarding disputes over the transfer of ownership of religious sites in Jerusalem, which would "prevent it from taking a blatantly anti-Israel stance".

That sounds like a 'warning' you would hear from Tony Soprano.  "Nice Dome of the Rock ya got there, Pope Frankie.  It'd be a shame if anything happened to it, like if it got paved over for condos or sumthin."
