Where Did All the Sea Ice Go?

America's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency has released a quick video showing what happened to the "old" Arctic ice (the most important stuff) from 1987 until 2013.   The video covers that 27-year span in just 60 seconds. The old ice is shown in white.  Behold.

    Gone to humans every one

  2. Thanks for the link. I haven't seen that in twenty, thirty years. Very allegorical.

  3. I have arrived at an epiphany thanks in part to Junior Trudeau's really mediocre performance this weekend. Since important questions like what is happening to our oceans just do not seem to be on the radar of any of the so-called big three leaders, I'm saying to hell with them all... I am going to vote Green in the next federal election, come what may (so to speak).

Up to now I have focused on doing whatever it takes to oust Harpo and the Conservatives. I have gone so far as to threaten to emigrate if they are still in office after the next election. That is an error. Replacing the Cons with another group no more committed to environmental and social change leaves us all in the same leaking boat we're in now. I guess what I'm saying is that Liberal, Conservative, or NDP, they're all as bad as each other. Real change means we need real change, I only see that in Elizabeth May.

  4. Good for you, Elliott. You're in good company and our numbers will keep growing, even if only out of necessity.

Please do go to the Green Party web site and read the policy platform. You'll find it is more forthright, reasonable and progressive than anything else on offer from the other parties.

Understand this. Your change was not rash but perhaps the most logical political decision you've ever taken.

    Welcome.
