Our friend, Rural, at Democracy Under Fire, deserves high praise for his well researched and thoroughly documented indictment of Canada's worst ever prime minister.
The latest installment can be found here. It should whet your appetite for more.
Parts 1-5 are digested here.
Parts 6-9 are available here.
This is not a quick read. It is a necessary read even if it is stomach churning.
Thanks for this Mound!
ReplyDeleteDon't thank me. This is a terrific project that you've undertaken. I've seen nothing remotely like it.
ReplyDeletepls forgive for off topic post ....
ReplyDeleteOver on Rabble/babble there is a thread about the Green party I thought you should see, Mound. Here is the little bit you will like...
"Have said it many times before here - Tom should have taken an anti-Kinder Morgan position. I don't think people here realize what is going on over on Vancouver Island... but the Greens are apparently winning both the lawn sign war and the ground troop war in Greater Victoria - all 3 ridings.
And just this past week, well over 1,000 attended a Paul Manly rally in Nanaimo. I dunno, but a political earthquake seems to be going on over on Vancouver Island. Something should be done to keep this matter in check methinks."

"Something should be done" sounds a little like a Con, eh?
What should be done is perhaps Vote Green as the best ABC choice in some ridings on the Island!! ;-)
.. thanks .. I've been exploring this resource.. quite possible the most damning and comprehensive indictment of Stephen Harper's assault on Canada, Canadians & our government & democracy ..
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, NPoV. I think the NDP are in the driver's seat in my riding but the Greens look to finish second.
ReplyDeleteI think Paul Manly is going to take my riding, I am routing for him, he is great! My Ndp Candidate is also fab but I think she is less known in nanaimo as she was an island trust rep, and nanaimo citizens have little to do with that politically.
ReplyDeletesheila is a powerhouse as is paul, both are green, both are smart, and both have integrity. But I think Paul is going to be the ABC vote. Paul has the better leader;)
I have said it on Rural's blog in the past, Mound, and I'll say it here: he has done an outstanding job in chronicling the abuses of the Harper regime over the years; it is a job I would not have considered undertaking, out of fear for my mental and emotional health.
ReplyDelete@ Sal - yes it resembles a brief a prosecutor might assemble. Exceptionally well done.
ReplyDelete@ Lorne - I could never have matched Rural's work. I just wish I could find a way to make undecided voters - no, all eligible voters - sit down and read it.
@ deb - that's great news about Paul's prospects. I sure hope he takes it. My riding, immediately north of yours, seems to be going NDP. Frankly I'd settle for anything to get it out of Tory hands.
NPoV is right. The animosity the Dippers are showing for the Greens reveals much about today's New Dems that most of us suspected is quite true. There's a real mean streak in some of them that is, as NPoV suggests, reminiscent of what we despised in the Cons. As if I needed another reason to reject Tommy Angry Beard and those serial killer eyes.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent resource -- particularly for those with short memories.
