We Have Our Own Problems to Worry About.

For starters. Above and beyond any and everything else - how "Trump-friendly" will Trudeau become?

Remember how Tony Blair fawned all over Bill Clinton until George w. Bush moved into the White House? Recall how much good that did the United Kingdom?

Junior and the missus really immersed themselves in the glow of the Obamas. Will they keep their distance from the Deviant in Chief and his upholstered Slovenian or will they be drawn to the flame like moths?

Canada's and America's interests haven't been on the same plane for at least two decades. Ottawa has to know that turning Quisling won't solve anything.

  2. Domestically: Game, Set, Match from the Supremes to coal to law'n order. We may need to revive the 'underground railroad'.

Foreign Affairs (as we used to say)....

If his isolationist policy is not used as a fig-leaf to ramp up war....

It could go either way - yes we may yet long for the day when all we had to worry about was good ole climate change.

    "Interesting times' indeed!

    (Yankees have no shame.)

  3. I expect/hope Trump will surprise everyone. He is a Bloomberg Republican. He cant make the system any worse. The fascist image is based upon fact but blown way out of proportion by the Status Quo machine.

Along with the bluster is a lot of common sense.

  4. As the year began, we were preparing for a flood of Syrian refugees. As the year ends, we should prepare for a flood of American refugees.
