Murmurs From the Asylum.
This must be just a horrible dream. Listen as Trump's housing secretary, Dr. Ben Carson, explains how his own ancestors, who arrived in America in the holds of slave ships, were actually hard-working immigrants who came to America with a dream of a wondrous future for their children and grandchildren.
This man, much like the president he serves, is unhinged, utterly delusional.
Was Dr Ben actually addressing an audience or was he just pacing back and forth, rambling to himself? My guess the Loony was just self auditioning for a one man show. If he was actually 'communicating' to a thinking, non captured audience.. well I think the rotten tomatoes would be flying.
Crazy delivery and even crazier talk. He should stick to his wheat storage Pyramid theories.
He's probably right. Carson's ancestors likely did dream of a wondrous future for their children and grandchildren - between being beaten, whipped, raped or killed at the whims of Sessions' ancestors.
.. in my view, something happened to Ben Carson, back whenever, likely before he retired as a paediatric neurosurgeon. The odd unfounded proclamations & the dreamy half smile are clues. Something snapped inside, or a head injury or illness fried a circuit or two. He's 7th Day Adventist - also worrisome, as his invisible friend up there in heaven is yet another fabrication or should I say variation of the Spaghetti Monster Gawd..Someone should ask his wife, Candy if she noticed a drastic change.. or his children. I think he's not far from joining Chauncy Gardener.. the further onset of dementia can be whimsical or devastating. I kid you not on this phenomena or malady.. and Donald Trump appears to be caving to similar syndrome. There's a reason your family doctor almost always asks 'are you sleeping well?' - ie somatic disturbances are the initial branching point to diagnostic algorithms re mood disorders, especially Depression, Anxiety etc. Comorbidity? Abuse of sleep aids? Who knows.. but I can see Carson sitting happily by a highway soon, enjoying the hum of traffic.. and I can see Trump stamping his foot with temper tantrums as his fortunes slip away & him being looked upon by puzzled faces, wondering what's wrong with him. Both are proving to be over the hill, in nadir, falling from orbit.. headed sideways.. the dreaded hammerhead stall
Yeah, and the loon says he can drill a wee hole in your head, insert some electrodes into your hippocampus and pull up crystal clear, true and accurate memories. Been saying it for years too. Only problem is it isn't true and won't be true ever. Probably the stupidest person to ever hold a cabinet level post in any western democracy and that's really saying something when you remember Harper's creme de la crap.
Envisioning the slave boats just lining up at the ports and the Africans running to the boats yelling "pick me pick me" so they could go to America in the bottom of slave boas and be worked, whipped and beaten waiting for the day the Great White Man Abraham Lincoln would save them.
At least that is what I am envisioning was in Carson's addled brain.
I too have wondered if Carson is entirely "right in the head." He seems to have something similar to a "Stepford Wife" thing going. Some sort of cognitive and intellectual defect is obvious when an educated, accomplished black man can label slaves "immigrants."
Like, Sal, I wonder if something happened to the guy, a fall or some other sort of brain injury, or perhaps he's high as a kite.
