Comey Bites Back

"Lordy, I Hope There are Tapes"

According to former FBI Director, James Comey, Donald Trump lied.

In his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, Comey wasted no time dropping the "L" word.

• James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, testified that President Trump and others in his administration had lied when they said agents had lost confidence in Mr. Comey.

• “Lordy, I hope there are tapes,” Mr. Comey said, referring to Mr. Trump’s suggestion that he may have recorded their conversations.

Mr. Comey said Mr. Trump lied to the American public when he said that the F.B.I. was in disarray and that agents had lost confidence in Mr. Comey.Continue reading the main story

“Those were lies, plain and simple,” Mr. Comey said in brief opening remarks.

Mr. Trump made that claim when he fired Mr. Comey last month. Mr. Comey said he was confused and concerned by Mr. Trump’s changing explanation for why he fired him.

Mr. Comey learned of his firing from the news media. He offered a heartfelt farewell to his former employees.

“I am so sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to you publicly,” Mr. Comey said.

  2. You're right, Trudy. I've also read that the Senate Republicans may use the circus to push through TrumpCare.

  3. In truth I hope they do everything they threatened to do and more. Tough luck for the people of the US but at some point something has to wake the vast ignorant middle of the country up to what these thugs are doing and maybe going down the plughole will be what it takes.

  6. Why Comey, (who has all trump cards) engineered a leak immediately after his dismissal? Looks to me as idiotic move unless he was afraid of lead (polonium) poisoning...

  7. The only certainty left standing after the UK elections is this: the press in the UK have no idea what is happening right under their noses.

Trump is going nowhere with this line of questioning.

If and it is if, Trump fails it will be on his tax returns.
I firmly believe that he is in debt to Russian banks.

  9. Comey is the past.

Mueller is the present and the future. And he has subpoena and arrest power.

Trump will crumple and fall under the collected weight of everything.

Now the US must hope that the collected weight at least disables Pence.
