Here are a few photographs of what transpired in Charlottesville, Virginia, last night in preparation for today's murderous rally. These are the faces of Charlottesville that Donald Trump couldn't bring himself to condemn.
Because nothing says free speech quite like a crowd of hateful white guys with torches marching at night in a southern town.
I saw a t-shirt on Fb I think it was: "The 2 worst dates in US history - 9-11 and 11-9."
ReplyDeleteTrump has given these low lifes new life.
ReplyDeletewhat is most interesting is the lack of authority in the area for a whole day. If this was an anti trump mob doing the same thing there would have been enough police, national guard and army units to surround the area and arrest every person on the streets.

ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt, Bill, that the cops, especially the state police, were nowhere to be seen where they were most needed. Somebody must explain that.
ReplyDeleteOwen, Trump hasn't just energized these white supremacists, he's brought them into the White House. Bannon, Stephen Miller, Sebastien Gorka, each presumably with underlings, are among Trump's closest advisors.
It failed to get the attention it deserved but everyone should read the NSC memo that forced H.R. McMaster to purge these radicals from his department. A memo, by the way, that Trump read and "loved." Trump was livid when he later learned that McMaster had fired this guy, Higgins.

It's no coincidence that Trump failed to renounce the Nazis, the Klan and the other white supremacists who rampaged at Charlottesville. He counts on their votes. They're his most loyal followers these days.
Sorry, Dana, but I don't understand the 11-9 reference.
ReplyDeleteMound, Dana's reference might be this: ""11/9 is the new 9/11": Americans liken Trump's win to most devastating day in country's history" http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/119-new-911-americans-liken-9224036
