That didn't take long. Donald Trump has lashed out at his former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, over revelations in a new book in which the Breitbart boss says many unflattering things about Trump, his kids and the White House administration.
Trump denounced Bannon in a statement claiming that "he not only lost his job, he lost his mind."
Trump disavows Steve Bannon: 'He not only lost his job, he lost his mind' from CNBC.
On Wednesday, excerpts from an upcoming Michael Wolff book showed that Bannon called a June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer "treasonous" and "unpatriotic." Bannon, who did not join the Trump campaign until August 2016, also said there was "zero" chance that then-candidate Trump did not meet with the attendees.
In a statement Wednesday, the president said Bannon — the nationalist firebrand — "had very little to do" with his electoral victory in 2016. Trump added that "Steve is learning that winning isn't as easy as I make it look."
Rock on, Don. You're going down, pal.
Donald The Delusional. There are somethings for which money offers no protection.
ReplyDeleteBannon is a funny guy. He just poured gasoline all over Donald Jr. and set him on fire. LOL. When he said he's certain Jr. walked the Russian team up to meet Trump he was actually saying Jr. would be dumb enough to do it.
ReplyDeleteHe's trying to take out Jr. and the son-in-law because they are part of the neocon wing. A bad influence on Trump.
Bannon treats Trump like a hostile witness - although he's his biggest supporter. Trump said Bannon has lost his mind. Bannon responds Trump is a great man. He puts pressure on Trump to stick to his economic nationalist agenda and remain true to his base.
Bannon will have to prove himself in 2018 by taking down enough neocons in Congress to turn the tide.
On the Democrat side, the Justice Democrats are trying to primary neolib bribe-takers. Hopefully both sides will be successful and help break the Deep State stranglehold on Western democracy and the Western economy.
