How Ottawa Got Hustled by the Boys from Enron

The popular narrative is that British Columbia is sabotaging Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain pipeline. BC is Justin Trudeau's whipping boy. The province is Rachel Notley's whipping boy. Even Calgary mayor, Naheed Nenshi, is in on the act.

What is that really all about? They're using BC to mask how Kinder Morgan played them for chumps. Veteran economist, Robyn Allan, lays it all out in today's National Observer. That's what can happen when you send a drama teacher to a Texas gunfight.

  1. A brilliant article.
As I said before just how stupid are we?
When in doubt follow the money.
    Yet the feeding frenzy continues.
What are the chances that the National Observer article gets traction?

  2. Hey, TB. What are the chances? I'd say next to nil.

  3. Trans Mountain has become sharks bait.
We are in midst of a feeding frenzy where commonsense and logic have been thrown overboard.
This National observer article is on par with Norman Farrell's expose on BC Hydro or, RIP, BC Mary's detailed takedown of BC Rail and Basi Virk et al.
Now and again we have those that challenge the status quo and do it with proven fact and commonsense.
On the international front we had David Kelly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kelly_(weapons_expert)
    And Hans Blix,

Does it not piss you off when you have the facts on your side yet you lose the battle, but hopefully not the war.

  4. The proper thing to do would be to haul in the corporate heads of Enron... er, Kinder Morgan, as well as the majority shareholders, and then give them a proper dressing down. Yell at them and insult them until they either cower or rise in anger. Get those cockroaches scared or angry. And then start slapping those fuckers with the facts. Tell them what Canada's going to do. Explain how this will all go down, cause it's going down.

Well, that would've been the proper thing to do about two years ago. Now it's too little, too late.

  5. Please lay-off the drama-teacher slander. Sell-outs come in all flavours. Some are even lawyers.
