It came straight from the mouth of the Republican Senate leader, Mitch McConnell. That reptilian old bastard announced that Trump will sign the bipartisan funding bill, preventing another shutdown, and he will, at the same time, issue a national emergency declaration to appropriate funds for his border wall.
Great.
That clears the way for the Democrats. If Trump can use the national emergency power for a blatant pretence, the Democrats will have no problem when it's their turn to declare destructive climate change a national emergency. That could be a game changer.
Are you talking about the same Democrats that just put together a house climate change committee without subpoena power? If so, the game's not changing anytime soon.

Cap,
ReplyDeleteThe House Climate Change Commitee doesn’t need subpena power.
They arn’t “investigating” Climate Change or Mann’s suspicions that Climategate was the actions of the same “Ususal Suspects” as the 2016 Election Ratfucking.
Their job is to turn the New Green Plan from an overview brief into legislation, policy and acts.
For that they don’t need subpena power because they won’t be asking anybody not onboard with the New Green Plan, for input or testimony.
Not that it will become legislation. Needy Amin’s still in the White Supremacy House and Yurtle the Turtle still runs the Senate.
It will become part of the 2020 Democratic Party Platform.
This one tweet pretty much sums it up..
