Recently PostMedia ran a petro-friendly article accusing British Columbians of being hypocritical when they point fingers at Alberta for greenhouse gas emissions. It was a pretty one-sided piece. I responded by linking to a report from the Conference Board of Canada that featured this graph of per capita emissions by province.
On household emissions we're all roughly equal. It's when you come to total emissions that the tape tells a pretty clear tale. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that Alberta and Saskatchewan are recoiling in indignation at Trudeau's carbon tax initiative.
Post Media have successfully stolen the narrative with buzzwords such as 'tidewater' to describe Vancouver docks and 'price differential' to justify; no one wants this black shit.
ReplyDeleteNot since Bre X have Canadians swallowed such a con job.
As for hypocritical ,Victoria is actually cleaning up their 'shit' whilst Alberta wishes to increase their own.
TB
Yes, TB, this has been a massive con job.
