Trump "We're Keeping the Oil."

Turkish president Recep Erdogan seems to have received a warm welcome to the White House from his American counterpart, Donnie Trump. During the obligatory joint press conference Trump addressed the purpose of American troops remaining in Syria.

Is America out to seize Syrian oil? Having abandoned the Kurds is it now trying to prevent them from getting control of that oil? Has he cut some side deal with Erdogan?

That's the nature of Thug Life - nothing is ever really as it seems.

  2. I'm sure trump wanted the oil and had a side agreement with erdogen. When Iraq fell into chaos, parts of the country, controlled by the Kurds were up and running and using the oil to recover. I'm sure that was in the back of trump's mind, or some one's, all that oil and making sure the Kurds did not lay claim to it, get things up and running and establishing a democratic government in the area.

As has been reported on CNN and MSNBC Rick Perry on his trip to Ukraine managed to get a 50 yr drilling deal for a couple of his financial supporters at a rate less favourable than Ukrainian companies had offered the government. they didn't get dtrump. they didn't get pense, they got perry--and his friends got a deal. thieves in my opininion.

It has also been reported dtrump owns property in Turkey.

It has been reported, Bolton, advised at a speech, he could not figure out why dtrump made the deal with Erdogen, he thought it had to be something personal.

to invite a thug like erdogen to the W.H. so shortly after having engaged in crimes against humanity, you do have to wonder what is really going on. Perhaps we can look forward to Erdogen buying some of Jared's condos and dtrump family resorts going up in Turkey.

  3. Three years ago or so when that same oil was being gaily driven to Turkey by ISIS, and the US did diddly squat to prevent it, it was only the arrival of the Russians, legally invited by Assad into Syria, that finally bombed those oil convoys to a stop. Within days - it was the first thing they did as Syria was raped by all and sundry. The US was and is in Syria illegally, just another unilateral racist incursion of sovereign territory to them, with Hillary as neocon cheerleader of the exceptional and indispensable nation to our south.

I really don't care for the US and its constant invasions of foreign countries, or installation of rabid autocrats as "democracy", such as is and has been happening in Latin America. And Canada is right there with our Chief Tribble Freeland denouncing actual democracies following actual elections. We're dead against brown people voicing their points of view - might upset the Canadian mining industry abroad. Here at home, we hear scarcely a word in our media on our regressive foreign policy, which is a slavish copy of that espoused by the US State Department and Neocons Inc i.e, the Democratic Party. Newsreaders blandly read Global Affairs lies to us, and that's an end to it. Then the NYT issues revisionist history as established fact, and we're all supposed to cheer. Enough of this stuff.

  4. .. latest I heard.. Erdogan returned Trump's wild assed missive letter/lecture..
The intermeshed convoluted 'American Interests' in foreign countries
speaks to the degree of 'capture' of Government.. indeed a $ chokehold
Some might say a 'submission hold' .. where one must 'tap out' for relief
and a nice pat on the head.. for good behaviour.. plus more donation $
Paul Manafort was not an anomaly.. he was a mid class average opportunist
even a lower scale purveyor of influence.. but look at the monies he accrued !
