WTF? He Said What? BoJo Defends Colonial Rule in Africa. BLM, Not So Much.

A blast from the not too distant past from Boris Johnson.

Justin Trudeau had his blackface problem. Bad, very bad. But it doesn't hold a candle to Boris Johnson's past musings about British colonialism in Africa.

Boris Johnson said colonialism in Africa should never have ended and downplayed Britain’s role in the slave trade, an article written by the prime minister while he was a Tory MP reveals.
Critics are urging Mr Johnson to explain whether he still holds the views expounded in the 2002 piece, where he argued that Africans would not have grown the right crops for export without British direction.

“The continent may be a blot, but it is not a blot upon our conscience,” he wrote. “The problem is not that we were once in charge, but that we are not in charge any more.”

BoJo is virulently opposed to British anti-racism protests.
The prime minister this week argued for the retention of controversial statues of slavers and British colonialists in UK cities, which he said should stay up because they “teach us about our past with all its faults”.
In the past he argued that colonial plantation agriculture was the best thing that ever happened to Africans.
If left to their own devices, the natives would rely on nothing but the instant carbohydrate gratification of the plantain ... the colonists correctly saw that the export market was limited.”
Suggesting that one way to boost the economy of African countries would be for British tourists to holiday in them, Mr Johnson wrote: “The best fate for Africa would be if the old colonial powers, or their citizens, scrambled once again in her direction; on the understanding that this time they will not be asked to feel guilty.
The shadow secretary of state for women and equalities, Marsha de Cordova, said: “Boris Johnson’s past comments are an example of why we need to educate people about the impact of colonialism.

“The legacy of British colonialism and its role in the slave trade is a scar on our society. To infer this is something to be proud of, and that African countries are worse off because they are no longer ruled by the empire, is an insult to millions.”

  1. Boris Johnson is as fake as the rest of his Conservative party and it's followers.
They are racist one and all.
Whilst I ,sadly feel, the BLM matter is being manipulated for political profit it could strip the veneer from ,particularly, Anglo Saxon superiority which is spread world wide.

Thankfully not all WASPS are of the same mind and older ones such as I were late converts to true of history.
One of the UK's biggest difficulties is coming to truth with this man.

The pure love of Churchill clouds many , otherwise, sober minds.

  2. Yes, there is much in Churchill's history that is glossed over, TB. I knew some of this such as the business of British forces using artillery to gas Kurdish villages that refused to pay taxes but there's even more in this article that I didn't know. Thanks for the link.

When it comes to national myths, the UK is right up there with the US. In each case it's a menace to us all.

  3. All countries live with myths even our own first nations.
Truth is a tough nut to swallow when we are face to face with our desire for profit and power .
It's part of the human condition !!

  5. Cecil Rhodes. Another documentary of strife and woe. I don't know if I could handle another dip in that vat of boiling oil.

  6. Fascinating how during the UK election Jeremy Corbin was under the microscope, accused of being a mole for the Czechoslovakian secret police and an anti semite while all of Johnson's past was swept under the carpet. Also very convenient for the owners of the UK mainstream media.

  7. '''Do Brown Black Lives matter...if they're Israelis'''?

    BLACK, BROWN, WHITE, YELLOW ISRAELIS

Since color has become a language somehow, and anti Israel bigots distort, then let's remind, most Israelis are "brown," in terms of stats. You have also many Ethiopian Jews.

No wonder the propagandists will never show democratic multiracial Israel in day to day lives.

    SECURITY VS RACISTS

But of course Israeli security concerns are just that. Unrelated to any "color" or "race." Actually, speaking of racism, yes, Arab Muslim attackers target only Jews. Talk about real racism.

    BACKGROUND ON HIJACKING TERMINOLOGY

True, hijacking of term 'it's racism," is as old as Palestine propaganda emerged by holocaust denier Issa Nakhleh who began in June-17-1949 the "like the Nazis and worse than nazis" line (and by Nov-14-1972 said all 6,000,000 were alive and Hitler "didn't" kill, and represented 'Muslim Congress' at Holocaust deniers convention in 1981), then picked up in 1960 by Nazi Tacuara saluter Ahmad Shukairy who by Oct-17-1961 added that garbage-touch apartheid slur too and questioned Catholic Uruguayan rep. Enrique Fabregat's loyalty, stating because he's (supposedly) a Jew. And both, of course were Hitler's ally ex-mufti Islamic leader al-Husseini avid fans. With Shukairy his aide.

Speaking of ex Mufti's admirers... Sufi Abdul Hamid, infamous 'Black Hitler' in NY who called to drive out Italians and Jews in the 1929-30, was also his admirer.

    RE FARAKHANNISTS & FAKE "PRO-"

One might begin to argue there is such a thing as "pro Palestine", when Farrakhan linked Ilhan Omar / Linda Sarsour / Rashida Tlaib will have a routine of decrying Arab Muslim suffering when it's not in context of Israel (who has been facing existential threat ever since) but suffering when by Arab Muslim entities. One would then hear about a real en-masse massacre. Such as hundreds of thousands in Syria, current example. And if they begin to do anything along the line, then no lip service please. But with that same "passion" as in fake "symparhy" played at the 'other' case.

The absenty reason is clear. Self explanatory. Because pro Palestine is a cover for anti Israel and often anti ALL Jews.

A note re L Farrakhan, that guy with his "blue eyes are the devil," when he uttered his "termites" venom, his genocidal hint was clear under the veil. For more about Dehumanization in radical Islamic Arab or even mainstream racist "Palestinian" education and sermons, search for "apes and pigs, Palestinians". Or see PalWatch and MEMRI.
