NDP Lead in BC. Will It Hold?

Premier John Horgan is the hands-down favourite party leader in British Columbia with a 17-point lead over Liberal leader, Andrew Wilkinson. On a party basis the lead narrows to 44 per cent NDP and the Liberals at 37 per cent.

Housing, poverty and homelessness are the top concern for the 18-34 year age group. The economy and jobs dominates the 35 to 54 group and health care is the main priority of the 55 and overs. No surprises there.

It sounds as though Horgan made a shrewd bet in calling a snap election.

  1. I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch, but with the flailing, unflattering Wilkinson (the anti-Clark) at the helm of the conservative tent, Horgan stands a pretty good chance at a majority, and it may well pay off. BC Waterboy

  2. I will be content with a slim NDP majority, anything safe of being toppled by the Libs. That said, I can't vote for Horgan because of his bone-headed support of Site C. It's Green for me.

  3. Me too! For the same reason. I know my vote will be wasted (Kamloops Okanagan), but I'd rather waste it than support something I can't live with.
