Donald Trump walked out of Walter Reed hospital this afternoon tweeting that he's never felt better. Now he's got some wondering if his bout with Covid-19 wasn't staged.
“Don’t be afraid of Covid,” he wrote. “Don’t let it dominate your life.
The president’s comments drew outrage from scientists, ethicists and doctors, as well as some people whose relatives and friends were among the nearly 210,000 people who died in the United States.
“I am struggling for words — this is crazy,” said Harald Schmidt, an assistant professor of medical ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania. “It is just utterly irresponsible.”
Upon Mr. Trump’s return on Monday evening from the Walter Reed medical center, he climbed the steps of the White House, turned to face the TV cameras that were carrying the news live and removed his mask.
The White House is also restricting contact tracing to just two days before Trump was diagnosed positive. That means there'll be no contact tracing for those who attended the Rose Garden gathering to celebrate the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett at which eight people, including Trump, are believed to have become infected.
Trump's now sidelined Covid expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has refused to comment.
He's the leader of the Republican death cult, what do you expect?

Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly, don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man!

ReplyDeleteWhat is a cult, Cap, without its followers? What I like to call Gullibillies. Whether it's Heaven's Gate or Jim Jones or the GOP, it takes a lot of people willing to suspend disbelief until the whole business ends badly.
