Israel's prime thug, Bibi Netanyahu, has again shown his perfectly fascist face. He's calling for sanctions against the International Criminal Court, its prosecutors and its judges for having the temerity to consider investigating Israeli war crimes (which, by the way, are legion).
“I think that everybody should rise up against this,” the Israeli prime minister said in an interview with Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world’s largest Christian television network.
“The US government under President Trump has spoken forcefully against the ICC for this travesty, and I urge all your viewers to do the same. To ask for concrete actions, sanctions, against the international court – its officials, its prosecutors, everyone.”
Netanyahu’s calls come months after Washington used a similar tactic to block a separate potential ICC investigation into its troops’ conduct in Afghanistan. It announced in March that it would deny entry to ICC officials, and later revoked a visa held by the ICC chief prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda.

These rightwing clowns know there's plenty of political gold to be mined by claiming to be beset by foreign interests biased against the state. That comes straight out of their playbook. It works for Erdogan as well as it does for Trump or Viktor Orban or Duterte or any of the other scum of the Earth ascending to high office these days.

Personally I find myself wandering in circles in the famed 'bewilderness' (made famous in my own mind, anyway..) regarding the stunning infatuation with Israel. Yes yes.. I understand much of the allure or clutching for votes (embracing ?) and the astonishing value of donor dollars.
But..
The incongruous beatitude, adoration.. and uh.. is saying 'suckholing' Ok ? is astounding. Even if Israel politically is or was matchless & faultless & wonderful.. what about Palestine ? Aside from outright greed for the land and offshore oil & gas of Palestine.. oh and the religious temples or walls etc.. how does anyone coherent countenance the somewhat mass behaviour of many many Israelis and their American and Canadian donors, supporters, defenders or even more uninformed tagalongs. And then there are the 'intimidated' or those perhaps like you or me.. who tend to silence.. after being shouted down or insulted.. called zionists or haters or stupidos or racists or anti-semites..
I may say or write horrible accusations or observations re aspects of the USA (political corruption) or Brazil (razing the Amazon), England (royalty), Japan (whales), Russia (corruption) .. but comments about Israel (zeolotry) are akin to pissing on a bus in public. Commenting via social media I would say it gets a more horrid response than using the word 'nigger' .. using 'redskin' is a lesser crime of course, 'darkie' does not gain favorable response unless one is among nazis and white supremacists.
No.. anything even slightly disagreeing with ANYTHING Israel does is atop the sacred laws.. in may be the new 1st Commandment of the other 10 according to the oracle or the burning bush or written on a tablet atop a holy mountain..
I hope you and I aint due to be burned at the stake for heresy Mound & I aint in the mood to be lynched either. I can say just about anything re The Catholic Church with relative impunity.. I have standing ! But Trump or Stephen Harper for example, their smarmy veneer of zeolatry makes me laugh, its only because of the money and the votes.
