For the first time, America's "Grey Lady" has endorsed two candidates for president in the 2020 elections. Not surprisingly, they're both Democrats. More surprisingly, they're both women.
This year the
New York Times is co-endorsing Elizabeth Warren or Amy Klobuchar to become the next and first female president of the United States of America.

The endorsements are based on how well they did when interviewed by the editorial staff. Wait till the reporters start digging into their email security practices!
Cap
Amy who?
Do you suspect skeletons in their closets, Cap?
That they are both women is completely unsurpising, the NYTs loves virtue signaling its progressive values without actually having to have any real ones. So backing two female corporate democrats are the perfect way to pretend to be progressive.
Spoken like a true Bernie-Booster, Gyor. I really wish he wasn't 20 years older than Moses.
No, I just remember the NYT endorsing Clinton and then day after day running every blatant lie the GOP peddled about her on page 1 - Benghazi, Uranium One, and, of course, her emails! The same paper ignored its own archives and society pages to soft-peddle the lying, cheating home-town crook currently occupying the WH.
I did like David Axelrod's take on the story though: "If I had to choose just ONE newspaper, it would be The New York Times and The Washington Post."
Cap
.. Interesting.. so split the endorsement.. akin to split the voting ? Halve the benefit to either .. while doubling the virtue signalling ? Cap may deserve credit for the subtle jab a la 'but her emails !'.. And realistically its clear as day the GOP and their equally scumbag enablers loke Hannity can do morman backflips with any simple fact, slivered out of earthly context from any email, public comment.. or whether a woman wears a pant suit, or has nice teeth.. or just invent lies about them.
To me. the most interesting, noteworthy, upside part of my day,
is spotting then getting to read one of your posts
Times are very tough for me right now.. that's a downside of my day
and so I regret having zero extra funds to support Norm at Insights..
He's another of my 'must reads' .. for very important reasons
How do we 'replace' the contributions of Canadians such as him ?
Answer.. we cannot. But donations and/or promoting fresh Indy bloggers
and cross pollinating the new guns with the wise ones can only help.
Great to see you back.. Mr Mound.. !
That's a great catch on the Axelrod quip, Cap. Muchos...
Hey, Sal. Sorry to hear you're in the lean season. Best wishes for a quick bounce-back.
I encountered a computer malfunction. It got fixed in a couple of days, just long enough for me to not miss blogging. Then, once it was fixed, I wasn't sure I wanted to get back. This morning I overcame that growing reticence and posted a few quickies.
As penance I bought my hound one of those figure-eight pull toys. It has eight of those squeaky things sewn inside. He's not having much luck killing them off.
Thank goodness you overcame your reticence!
As long as it was just a computer malfunction......
Thanks.
