Blame England


I knew it wouldn't take long before they began turning on each other but I never guessed how far they would try to throw the blame.

Ken Adelman, an original neo-con and former US assistant defence secretary, says Britain has to share the blame for his president's Iraq lunacy. That means Blair is responsible for his own foolishness and for a hunk of Bush's idiocy as well.

Here's Adelman's reasoning, as related to a British TV programme:

"I think the British should have raised alarms. And the way to deal with Americans is to really be very frank and very tough. They knew what was happening."

"The British certainly did not confront the Americans enough to say: 'This is all falling apart ... we are really doing stupid things here'."
