Ah, the French and their joie de vivre! Seems it even reaches into the DGSE, the French spy agency. Somebody there has been having a little too much fun.
It seems these French spies have, for decades, been entrusted with a secret war chest intended to fund a French government-in-exile if the need ever arose. It is said that the fund was held in secret accounts and investments controlled by a few intelligence agents who passed along details by word of mouth.
Think about it. How do you think this arrangement was going to turn out?
If you guessed the money would eventually disappear - BINGO. 25 million Euros are gone and nobody knows where it went, when it disappeared or into whose pockets. The French government has known about this "irregularity" since 2002 but their investigations have turned up nothing yet.
