Canadian Special Forces Take Third Place in International Competition

Special forces teams from around the world gathered in Amman, Jordan, to strut their stuff.   Thirty-five teams representing 18-countries, including the United States, Britain, France and Russia competed.   Events included hostage rescue, aircraft assault, building entry and casualty handling.

Out of the 35 teams, Canada got a respectable podium finish.  So, who took the gold and the silver?   The United States?  Nah.  Britain?  Nope.  Russia then surely.  Nyet.

First and second place went to Chinese teams.  China's Snow Leopard commando unit took first with second going to a team from the Chinese police academy.

Fourth spot?  That went to the Palestinian Presidential Guard.

The times they are a'changin.
