Poor John Bolton - reviled and disgraced and run out of town. That's bad enough but not as bad as the coup de grace delivered by his successor, Zalmay Kahlilzad.
It sems Kahlilzad has wasted no time winning the friendship of his fellow UN ambassadors on the Security Council, relationships that had been scorched and seared during Bolton's rampaging tenure.
At a diplomatic dinner last month, ambassadors spoke in turn about their relief at Zalmay's appointment. When it came time to respond, Kahlilzad entertained his diplomatic colleagues by quipping, "“I have discovered from your comments that the best thing I have done was to choose my predecessor.”
A Bolton spokesman said he'd heard of the remark and had no comment.

Did you ever listen to anything Bolton said when he was at the UN . . . he was the one sane voice in a group of total crazies . . .
The UN is short for UNnecessary . . . is does absolutely nothing but promote despots and dictators. It was overrun by leftists and losers decades ago . . . hence the many successes in Rawanda, Somalia, Sudan and Iraq. Who cares what some clown has to say today . . .
If the US was smart they would give notice to the UN gang in New York to get the hell out of town and sell the building to the highest bidder.
Your take on world affairs is dismal at best . . . guess life in la la land on Vancouver Island will do that to you!!!
Always refreshing to get your enlightened view, oldschool.
