A New Standard for "Batshit Crazy"

You knew he was an idiot but former Texas governor turned Trump energy secretary, Rick Perry, has really tumbled out of the Stupid Tree, hitting every branch on the way down, this time.

The latest - fossil fuels can prevent sexual assault.  Brace yourself.

Perry described his belief at an energy policy event in Washington hosted by Axios and NBC News, while talking about how bringing power to African villages would save lives.

"But also from the standpoint of sexual assault, when the lights are on, when you have light that shines, the righteousness, if you will, on those types of acts," Perry said. "So from the standpoint of how you really affect people's lives, fossil fuels is going to play a role in that. I happen to think it's going to play a positive role."\

Maybe Trump's first take was right.

Whilst RVing in Oregon this year whilst we were enjoying the happy hour and playing lawn darts we were approached by a drunken Texan demanding that we support 'President" Trump or leave the country.
We had just seen a sign advertising concealed carry regulations discussions so we were genuinely worried about the attitude of this person.
We should not stereotype people but shit, it's hard not to!

I think many of us who now choose to venture south of the line no longer have that sort of scenario in mind, TB. I have so enjoyed the years that I've motorcycled the coast highway with its magnificent curves and breathtaking vistas but that's not for me any more. All that natural beauty now sullied - and for what?

Fab vid clip thanks..
& the hit every banch on the way down.. apropos eh

But all part of the bizarro potemkin village construct that is American Politics
There's a new twist tho.. the happy handwaving 'villagers' on the river banks
are all the political animals.. waving at the citizenry on selected 'guided tours'
to ensure some vague message via newscasting Mainstream Media leaks out
that all is well in the political animal refuge called Governence..
The fences are long gone of course.. the creatures are among us..

That "light" simply gives the culprit a better view of his target
...and enables him to scope out a viable potential escape when he's ready to take off afterwards.
