A Distinction Without a Difference?
Canadian auto buyers don't put a high priority on choosing a car that's environmentally friendly. In fact according to a new vehicle buyer survey, the environmental factor came 23rd out of 26 reasons buyers cited for their choices.
The number two factor, however, was "fuel economy," which shot to prominence after being hardly an issue at all in the previous year's survey. This year Canadians also showed a real interest in sub-compact cars. So, even though this year's buyers didn't come right out and say "environmentally friendly", it's a distinction without a difference.

I've been shopping for a new car and you can't believe how much research it is to buy one that is environmentally friendly. It's actually first on my list. Looking good is second. I am a girl, after all. I've been reading reports online and using the EPA as a guide. I've made it my mission to buy one that meets their guidelines AND falls within my budget.
Thank you, Stephane.
