10,000 Turn Out at Obama Rally

John McCain managed to muster 30 or 40-supporters the other night for his wretched, pre-emptive speech trying to undermine Barack Obama. In fairness, McCain often attracts much larger crowds, often hundreds at a time.

Barack Obama held a rally of his own - in Virginia - and all he could draw was a paltry TEN THOUSAND enthusiastic supporters. From the Washington Post:

"In Virginia, Obama delivered his standard stump speech at both campaign stops, but the events were weighted with significance, a reminder of one of his biggest primary wins and his determination to compete in Virginia and other traditional Republican strongholds in November.

The senator from Illinois noted the symbolism of the first African American presidential nominee appealing for support in a former Confederate state.

"This crowd reflects what was done 40 years ago to perfect this union," Obama told the Nissan crowd, referring to achievements of the civil rights movement. "And now, 40 years later, that same sense of urgency is demanded."

Die-hard Obama supporters and undecided voters converged on the amphitheater in Prince William County three hours before the candidate was scheduled to take the stage at 6 p.m. State and local transportation officials had braced for a major backup on Interstate 66, but traffic was like that of a normal evening rush."

Obama is against homosexuals getting marries, is against late term abortion and is willing to take out Iran before they strike Isreal.

How can left wing loons like those ideas?

Fill in the blanks for me.

Jonathon - people know Obama's views - they like him and his views - that's just the way it is.

I see Tom Delay is already starting to right wing attack - saying Obama is a Marxist..da, da, da.

I've been on here before - I did support Hillary and watched all the bashing of her.

The reason I mention this - mound of sound - is (I'm a little older) I remembered the bashing Hillary got from day one from the right wing and some of it has stuck.

God forbid she was an intelligent independant woman - so is Michelle Obama and I do hope that they don't start on her, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I mean, really, Hillary hating started because she said she wasn't going to stay home baking cookies - she's a lawyer - so is Michelle Obama.

Perhaps Obama will study and learn how the whole thing started with Hillary so he can nip it in the bud.

I wouldn't hold my breath that the Michelle attacks come shortly - you must be a stepford wife like Laura Bush after all.

I like Michelle Obama and I think most of the Americans do - let's hope it stays that way.

Actually, you're wrong.

Almost half the Dem's voted for Obama, and nor right wingers voted for him.

So, 1/3rd of Americans think he is a reject.
