Monbiot Scolds Canada's Environmental Darth Vader
The Guardian's environmental guru, George Monbiot, has a bone to pick with British Columbia's Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace. It's an interesting, albeit mildly troubling, piece.
Ex-Greenpeace academic Moore certainly landed on his feet after his ouster. His timing for catching the green washing wave was very good not to mention the mileage he gets from his insiders credentials.
How he reconciles his former commitment to protecting the planet with playing PR flak catcher to multinational environmental rapists is a mystery. But there's no shortage of hypocrites in this world.
"...there's no shortage of hypocrites in this world." Of course there isn't only it's much more polite to simply refer to them by their proper name - conservative. That's "conservative" as in one who conserves, the sort of thing Edmund Burke had in mind, not the rapacious exploiters who have come to sully Burke's mantle.

That was a good read.
