Bush's HIdden Army

They escort convoys; guard VIPs including generals; and just about everything else including weapons maintenance, catering, intelligence gathering and laundry. They're all employees of private companies paid out of US tax dollars, George w. Bush's other army in Iraq.

These contractors now number 180,000 - about 20,000 more than the number of American soldiers in Iraq. When you put them together, that's a force of some 340,000 "boots on the ground", a lot of people to lose a war so miserably.

They work for companies such as Haliburton, firms for which the Iraq war is a no-lose proposition at least until it's called off. The survey number didn't include all those other contractors who work for private security firms such as Aegis and Blackwater.
It's the privatization of war and it's no surprise that, front and centre, is Cheney's old shop, Haliburton.
