President George w. Bush is still talking up "victory" in Iraq. He used his 4th of July speech to beg Americans for "more patience, more courage, more sacrifice" adding, "however difficult the fight is in Iraq, we must win it."
Typically, Bush delivered his speech to an audience of Air Force personnel and their families, where he knew he wouldn't get run off the stage.
The frat boy is actually playing out his own "end game" in which he sticks to the victory message so that he can blame the defeat on whoever has the moral decency to stand up and end this fiasco. He's been a weasel all his life and he's not about to change that now.
