Donald Trump's ability to keep his base, a.k.a. the Gullibillies, onside depends on his ability to keep feeding them a powerfully rich diet of horse shit. He doles it out by the shovelful and they chow down. It's a spectacle so grotesque as to cow any Congressional Republican. The day the Gullibillies stop eating, however, the Republicans will descend on Trump with knives drawn.
Trump is positively exorcised about leaks. His administration leaks like none other before it. And those leaks tend to release a truth that contradicts the official horse shit.
Now that Trump has departed for Jersey and a 17-day golf sabbatical, a team of government science insurgents has leaked a report, here in pdf, to The New York Times outlining the truth about man-made climate change and how it will imperil the United States. It's a scathing indictment of the man/baby president and their distrust of him.
The draft report by scientists from 13 federal agencies, which has not yet been made public, concludes that Americans are feeling the effects of climate change right now. It directly contradicts claims by President Trump and members of his cabinet who say that the human contribution to climate change is uncertain, and that the ability to predict the effects is limited.
The National Climate Assessment “seems to be on autopilot” because of a lack of political direction, said Myron Ebell, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
