Nuclear War - Just "A Tantrum Away."

You couldn't ask for two more mentally stable people than Kim Jong Un and his orange alter-ego, "Dementia Donald" Trump.

The world faces a "nuclear crisis" from a "bruised ego", the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (Ican) has warned in an apparent reference to US-North Korea tensions.

Accepting the Nobel Peace Prize on Sunday, Ican's executive director Beatrice Fihn said "the deaths of millions may be one tiny tantrum away".

"We have a choice, the end of nuclear weapons or the end of us," she added.

Tensions over North Korea's weapons programme have risen in recent months.

The open hostility between US President Donald Trump and the North Korean leadership under Kim Jong-un has at times descended into personal attacks this year.

Speaking at the ceremony in Oslo, Ms Fihn said "a moment of panic" could lead to the "destruction of cities and the deaths of millions of civilians" from nuclear weapons.

Prior to presenting the prize on Sunday, Nobel committee chair Berit Reiss-Andersen offered a similar warning, saying that "irresponsible leaders can come to power in any nuclear state".

Mound, you are a victim of the media's framing by equating the mindset of these two.

"Born in 1984, Jong-un was 7 when the U.S. first bombed Iraq, supposedly to force its troops out of Kuwait (although Saddam Hussein had already agreed to withdraw). Then the U.S. imposed sanctions on the country that killed half a million children.

He was 11 when the U.S. intervened in Yugoslavia, bombing Serbs to create the dysfunctional client state of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He was 15 (probably in school in Switzerland) when the U.S. bombed Serbia and created the dysfunctional client state of Kosovo.

He was 17 when the U.S. bombed and brought regime change to Afghanistan. Seventeen years later, Afghanistan remains in a state of civil war, still hosting U.S. troops to quell opposition.

He was 19 when the U.S. brought down Saddam and destroyed Iraq, producing all the subsequent misery and chaos.

He was 27 when the U.S. brought down Gaddafi, destroyed Libya, forced the Yemeni president from power causing chaos, and began supporting armed opposition forces in Syria. He was 30 when the U.S. State Department spent $5 billion to topple the Ukrainian government through a violent coup.

He knows his country’s history, and how the U.S. invasion from September 1950 leveled it and killed one-third of its people, while Douglas MacArthur considered using nuclear weapons on the peninsula. He knows how U.S. puppet Synghman Rhee, president of the U.S.-proclaimed “Republic of Korea,” having repeatedly threatened to invade the North, executed 100,000 South Koreans after the outbreak of war on the grounds that they were communist sympathizers who would aid the enemy. He loves Elizabeth Taylor movies but hates U.S. imperialism. There’s nothing crazy about that."

Just cause he is paranoid doesn't mean that the Yankees aren't out to get him

The sad thing is Little Kim's actions appear sane.

Trump is right to draw a line in the sand on global nuclear proliferation.

Who has the most nukes and who has actually used them?

He has the whole world on his side against the crazy boy dictator. South Korea. Japan. Even China.

I think that China treat him with the contempt he deserves; probably pissing themselves with laughter after every meeting.

He's someone to be taken seriously.)
And not in a positive way.

Kim has asked for talks and a de escalation of military drills close to North Korea.
Is that too much to ask for?

"Now is the time for action." What kind of puerile bullshit is that? If you think this is that auspicious moment, why are you living in your mom's basement instead of donning your nation's military uniform? It's always those who have the weakest understanding of military service that have the loudest mouths. And, if you are going to war, find a leader who's not a goddamned ChickenHawk like Trump who wangled five deferments when it was his generation's time to answer their nation's call to serve. That fat useless fuck is about as convincing as his supporters - your kind.

I suppose Kim looks to the USA and say; those guys have used nukes before, better we get one quick to deter attack.
The sames goes for Iran and others.

Then there was Curtis LeMay. https://medium.com/war-is-boring/god-no-the-u-s-air-force-doesn-t-need-another-curtis-lemay-37de19c11652

I have no doubt that there are many wannabees out there who would like to first strike the Russians, Chinese and every other country they don't like.
