The Cost of Democracy In Our Ally, Bahrain

Here's video of how our good Sunni ally, Bahrain, Kingdom of, embraces peaceful protest.   The pro-democracy group, armed only with placards, marched on Bahraini armoured vehicles in their path

This allows you a bit of perspective of how the protest would have been seen by Bahraini/Saudi soldiers manning their heavy automatic weapons from their armoured vehicles.   About halfway through the clip is the scene where, after the killings, the protesters return and sit down right in front of those same armoured vehicles.

Oh well, I suppose Canada should really keep its nose out of this.   It wouldn't do for an emerging fossil fuel superpower to criticize another rancid petro-state.

But if they were Palestinian going after their own government....

It kinda reeks of hypocrisy don't it?

Is that what that smell is? I expect you mean the Palestinians that elected Hamas but, despite that, were governed by Fatah?
