Putin Is Backing Trump. He Has His Reasons, Plenty of Them.

In the West, Vlad Putin is routinely portrayed as a malevolent force, a demon of sorts.  Yet he is running a very large and somewhat powerful country and seems to enjoy popularity at home that Western politicians would die for.

So, is Putin's support for Donald Trump really just pernicious? Does he have legitimate reasons to fear Hillary Clinton? Clinton Ehrlich, writing in Foreign Policy, says Putin's posture is legitimate and, from a Russian perspective, readily understandable.
