One Very Telling Point
Europe is being flooded with refugees escaping the bloodbath in Syria. On Friday's Real Time, host Bill Maher brought up an often overlooked fact.
What countries are not taking these Syrian Sunni refugees?
That would be Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states. They're all Sunni and they've all slammed their doors shut to Syrian refugees.
Wait a second, these bejeweled Clown Princes are supposed to be our Allies. We're even fighting their out of control monster, ISIS, so they don't have to and yet these cash rich, drowning in oil, sheikhs, princes, kings and emirs won't pull their weight in helping these Sunni refugees?

Anyong said: Just shows the world what they are made from. Could the answer be "money cowards"?
Anyong, I've said it before. We're bombing the wrong targets. To kill a snake, cut off its head. We might have considered bombing ever palace the length of the Persian Gulf if we wanted to thwart ISIS.
The Saudis claim to have taken tens of thousands of Syrian refugees and given them residency status. We have to way to check this (and the Saudi government is not a very reliable source about almost anything). Credible sources do make it clear that they have given more money to refugee aid than almost anyone. The question remains - why have the gulf states refused to sign the UN convention on refugees?
Saudi Arabia Takes Zero Refugees Despite Having 100,000 Tents Able To House 3 Million People

Thanks for the link, Toby. The Saudis do seem to have taken in some job-seekers in the past but they've slammed the door on war refugees. As the article you linked notes, given how these Sunni princes, sheiks and emirs have funneled cash to the Islamist radicals sparking this exodus it's damned hypocritical for the Saudis to do nothing when help is so badly needed.
you know what other state isn't taking in refugees? Israel. But they're happily drilling for oil in the illegally occupied Golan while the syrian government is busy.
