Diabolical Prime Minister Caught Muzzling Scientists - Again

The fundamentalist fiend is at it again.   Science to Steve Harper is the noonday sun to a vampire.   This time it was a federal fisheries expert muzzled by Harp's political commissars in the Privy Council Office to prevent her from speaking out publicly about why salmon stocks have been crashing on the West Coast.

...the Privy Council Office, which supports the Prime Minister's Office, stopped Kristi Miller from talking about one of the most significant discoveries to come out of a federal fisheries lab in years.Science, one of the world's top research journals, published Miller's findings in January. The journal considered the work so significant it notified "over 7,400" journalists worldwide about Miller's "Suffering Salmon" study.

Science told Miller to "please feel free to speak with journalists." It advised reporters to contact Diane Lake, a media officer with the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Vancouver, "to set up interviews with Dr. Miller."

Miller heads a $6-million salmon-genetics project at the federal Pacific Biological Station on Vancouver Island.

The documents show major media outlets were soon lining up to speak with Miller, but the Privy Council Office said no to the interviews.

This born again bastard is positively despotic.  Just imagine what else his shadowy minions toil through the night to keep Canadians from discovering.

Her research must have been found unacceptable to the politburo. Dangerous thoughts such as these must not be allowed to threaten The People's Revolution/Economy.

It's bewildering how Canadians, including the media and the opposition, can sit mute at a government that decides what questions Canadians may ask of their public servants and what answers those public servants are permitted to give. Since he came into office Harper has installed these commissars to filter and spin whatever Canadians are allowed to learn. And I thought all this sort of thing died with the end of the Soviet Union.

All dictators are paranoid. Because, they use dirty tactics against their own people, they assume everyone else is out to get them. Harper is no different.

Remember when Harper had Guelph University stormed. He wanted to stop the students from voting. They even tried to steal the ballot boxes. If that isn't a paranoid dictator, I don't know what else could be.

Harper has to prevent scientists from publishing their results, on our eco systems. Harper supports the dirtiest energy on the entire planet, the dirty tar sands. He and Campbell have worked long and hard on, more than one deadly pollution target for BC.

Harper is no different than Campbell, he has to control absolutely everything. Dictators usually end up making many, many enemies. The more enemies they make, the more paranoid they become.

Harper is already known as, a petty gasbag, arrogant, stubborn and impossible to work with.

Harper has always managed to embarrass us. Copenhagen was one time. He lost Canada's seat with the U.N. The last meeting of Nations, he refused to co-operate then too.

Does Harper care about our, lakes, rivers, streams, air, fish, wildlife, oceans? Hell no. He is only interested in his own glory, and to hell with the planet and the people.

How did you obtain this information?

@Anon6:38 The information was ferreted out by PostMedia via a Freedom of Information demand. This isn't the first time that right-leaning news outlet has exposed Harper's skulduggery. As for the commissars employed by Harper to restrict public enquiries and taint any information eventually getting back out, I've written on that repeatedly going back to 2008. Here's one reference.

What this devious swine has done is effectively transformed Canada's public and armed services into his personal, political agency. All those ministries are intended to serve Canada, not the political aspirations and twisted social outlook of Stephen J. Harper.

One group especially suppressed has been the climate science bunch at EnviroCan. There have been reported instances of these types being intimidated into silence. Welcome to the Gulag.

Anon, here's one post on Harper intimidating government scientists from speaking out. The remarks are those of David Schindler of the University of Alberta, possibly Canada's top hydrologist and the nemesis of the Alberta and federal governments.

"They're really afraid to do much in that environment," Schindler said. "Environment Canada is the same. If you want to keep your job, you keep your head low."

When I read about, Harper at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York, Sept. 25/2007. He fully endorsed the NAU. Harper has an evil agenda. We were warned, if Harper won a majority, we can kiss Canada good-bye.

A dictator has to, totally control everything. He can't afford his dirty deeds, to be known by the public. Scientists are muzzled. The media is muzzled. His ministers are muzzled. All goes through Harper first.

However, there are lectures you can attend. Scientists have discovered acid in the ocean, right up to the shores of BC. This was a shocker. They had thought, the acid was way out in the deep. The acid will eat the shells off crustaceans. The corals are bleaching white. They say, the Great Barrier Reef, will be dead, within twenty years. Our oceans are dying. The sea has absorbed all the carbon monoxide, from burning fossil fuels, that can be tolerated. This is a very serious wake-up call.

But, Harper has a grandiose plan, for Canada to be a super power of energy. He will not tolerate any adverse publishing, of the dirty tar sands studies. Harper desperately wants, the power and glory. He wants the world, fawning at his feet, begging for his fossil fuel. He will pollute the entire planet, to get that recognition..
