Israeli investigators are closing in on prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Like U.S. special counsel Robert Mueller the Israelis are turning up the heat on Bibi's associates and they scored bigly.
Last Friday, Netanyahu’s former chief of staff, Ari Harow, signed a state’s witness deal with prosecutors and the police. Harow has been one of Netanyahu’s closest advisors for years. This is the single most important development in the long-running corruption investigations surrounding the prime minister, which now also entangle his wife, eldest son, personal lawyer, and one of his cabinet ministers.
Seemingly feeling the heat, Bibi has resorted to Trump-style tactics, including staging well screen rallies.
On Wednesday, Netanyahu responded with a rally of his own, attended by 3,000 of his supporters and most of the party’s ministers. The prime minister attacked the “fake news media” for joining forces with his opponents on the left to launch “an obsessive and unprecedented witch hunt against me and my family.”
...
If Netanyahu is toppled my only wish is that he lands with a thud.

Who will become Netanyahu's North Korea?
TB
I'm not sure that Israel doesn't have some aspects of North Korea. It is a nuclear power with the delivery systems - missiles, aircraft and submarine (cruise missile) - to keep its entire region in jeopardy and it is territorially aggressive with half a century of practice in transforming the Palestinian territories into a virtual internment camp. Its policy of "Dahiyeh" (search this blog) is plainly criminal under the laws of war. Like North Korea it routinely lies to its allies and supporters.
Netanyahu, like Trump is the source of all the bad stuff that comes his way. Karma.
