As I see it, there are three alternatives: 1) a negotiated Brexit, 2) a "hard" Brexit, and 3) no Brexit. Pundits have called each of these unlikely. But one of them will happen.
I expect the pols will chicken out and call another referendum. Nobody's happy with the turd that's been negotiated, and the question of Ireland remains unsolved and a festering sore in May's coalition.
Unfortunately the dislike of brown people and East European accents still holds a lot of sway in the UK. Brexit will not end well for anyone, including the Brexiteers. As with other western countries ; the uneducated hold the balance of power. Just ask Trump!!
