Why Bitumen Supertankers Are Far Too Risky for BC's Coast

The Globe & Mail has published a 7-screen graphic detailing the northern BC coast Enbridge/Harper want to expose to supertanker catastrophe.

From pointing out that the Hecate Strait is considered the fourth most dangerous for navigation in the world to the proven perils and pitfalls posed to supertankers plying the Douglas Channel for the 10 to 12-hour trip needed to get from Kitimat to the open sea (Hecate Strait), the madness of this high-risk venture of virtually no benefit to British Columbia is obvious.

Against our will, without our consent.

"Hecate Strait is one of the few locations in the world with species from the Glass Sponge class of fauna. Regions with these sponge are currently protected from damage by commercial fishing." But now that Harper has all but ill-legalized science and eco protection I guess we can kiss this species good-bye too - after the first spill. Harper spells ecocide with every oily breath he breathes. Will he fall before the next election? If not he will definitively cheat his way back in.

Ugh...

It was said. 50% of Canadians are afraid of eco terrorism. Environmental Groups are the number one accusation.

The only threats I have heard of, is Oliver called BC people eco terrorists, because we opposed the Enbridge pipeline. Then there is Harper who said. Communist China WILL pick up the dirty Bitumen in Port Kitimat. It is the BC citizens who are being terrorized and threatened. And, we are the bad people? I don't think so.

Harper and his partner in crime Gordon Campbell, signed sneak deals regarding the dirty tar sands, behind our backs. The dirty tactics practiced by that dirty duo, are absolutely disgusting. What was traitor Campbell doing, working for the traitor Harper anyway?
