The Man in Black Fades to Grey

This was apparently recorded at a small venue in 2003.   It is said to be the last recorded performance of Johnny Cash.   At this point he'd recorded a few Dylan songs.   This one seems to be written atop "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright."

I doubt Dylan would begrudge Johnny Cash pilfering a few chords and bars.   But that's not what this clip is about.   It's the chance to watch the last recorded performance of the Man in Black.

Thanks for posting this. As is often the case with YouTube, after the video ended there was a series of other Cash videos that came up, some of which cast a very interesting light on a very interesting man.

Hi Lorne. Yes he was a very interesting guy and, from everything I've learned of him, a thoroughly decent man to boot. The final albums he put together with producer Rubin stand as a powerful testament to Cash. Imagine Johnny Cash doing Dylan, Tom Petty, the Beatles, even 9 Inch Nails. Really brilliant stuff.
